Internship

Texas Tech University Press (January 2023 - May 2023)

During my internship with the press, I assisted with preparing manuscripts, typesetting content, and applying editing codes for the spring semester press catalog. I also organized comprehensive copyediting efforts for future publications, ensuring compliance with rigorous editorial standards while maintaining the high literary quality expected of the organization. My responsibilities included proofreading unpublished manuscripts, verifying page numbers, ISBNs, and formatting consistency to uphold the integrity of the literature, as well as fixing any identified errors. Additionally, I conducted extensive research, including exploring media outlets, verifying facts in databases, and facilitating author communication to enhance organizational efficiency and accuracy throughout the publishing process.
